I wish you all good health. I am Lanang Naw Myu Awng, a 28-year-old teacher at Alen Bum School for Internally Displaced Children. Strangers dig on our ancestors’ valuable soil, similar to gold and jade mining, and it’s like deboning a whole chicken and leaving the chicken bones out of chicken rice porridge. Our area’s unique stones were nearly depleted; hence the art was created with sadness. It’s happening all throughout the world, just as it is in our region. As you enjoy my paintings, it is my desire that everyone will wake up and work together to protect our beautiful planet. I want to be of assistance to many people and refugees suffering from war all over the world. Thank you all so much.
