I wish you all a very happy and healthy day! My name is Mahkaw Lu Tawng. I am a ninth-grader at Alen Bum School for Internally Displaced Persons. When I was creating this work, I felt a variety of different emotions. The brutal Bamar forces have arrived to Kachin and oppressed our Kachin people, thus they are fleeing the warfare with tremendous trepidation. We’ll have to cry a lot. Some children have even lost their parents. Some people must be separated from their family members. These paintings were created with a lot of emotion. One day, I want to be a doctor. I want to be a doctor who helps individuals who are sick in our community. God bless you all.
