Ndau Bawk San – Art of Agony

I wish you all a very happy and healthy day! My name is Ndau Bawk San. I am a ninth-grade student at Htoi Ningshawng School. I want to explain the meaning of my painting. This painting is from a true incident that happened on June 9, 2011. On that day, the Burmese army entered Kachin State, burned houses and killed villagers. Elderly grandparents fled. Many left the household that was killed and came to be in such a cramped place. Our people really want to go back to their homeland. With agonistic feelings, I drew this painting. My goal is to become a world famous music teacher. At that time, I want to teach music to the poor Kachin people. I would like to ask parents and brothers and sisters who are abroad to support my painting. Thank you very much.
